Liverpool Advocates for Windrush

About L.A.W.

Liverpool Advocates for Windrush (L.A.W.) stands at the forefront of addressing the injustices arising from the Windrush scandal. Officially constituted in October 2023, our roots extend back to 2018, when our voluntary efforts began. With one of our co-founders being a second-generation Windrush descendant and a direct victim of this injustice, our commitment is well-informed.

Our primary objective is to offer comprehensive and specialised support to those impacted by the Home Office's missteps. L.A.W guides individuals and their families through the complex process of rectifying their immigration status, ensuring a confident navigation of the legal system. We also represents the estates of deceased individuals, acknowledging the extensive ramifications of the scandal. Our pursuit of restorative justice involves a relentless effort to secure appropriate compensation for those wronged, aiming for resolutions that genuinely recognise the hardships faced.

L.A.W. transcends the conventional scope of an advocacy group; we are a steadfast beacon of hope for the Windrush community, tirelessly advocating for their rightful justice and dignity.
